I am shooting a project with the Z1U and will be editing with Premiere Pro 1.51. I need to add some one-of-a-kind footage shot in HDCAM to the project.
I am trying to figure out how one goes about importing the HDCAM into the HDV format. I think I have scanned every web site related to HDV and haven't found a word on this topic.
Does anyone know how I can do this? I can't be the only person trying to mix different flavors of HD!
I did get a solution that works on the Mac platform, courtesy of Mike Curtis of hdforindies.com (thanks, Mike!):
"capture the HDCAM, and use iMovieHD, Final Cut Express HD, or LumiereHD convert to MPEG-2 to lay back to tape."
Does anyone know of a similar solution for the Windows platform?
THANKS!
