I've used a tape cleaner to clean the head of my Vx-2000 and it still reads back dirty in my editing deck-I use several other cameras and the tape is fine-When the tapes play back they read dirty-the footage jumps and soemtimes the tape gets completely destroyed-Funny thing is when I play the tapes back in my camera it works just fine-It's only when I play the tapes back in other camera or decks that it gets messed up-ANY suggestions on alternate cleaning methods?

Sounds like the heads might be out of alignment, that would cause this kind of problem I think. You could use a firewire connection to export all your tapes to another deck, then get the camera serviced.
