Is there a definitive answer to whether the JVC GY HD1OO has a B4 mount? I currently own a Sony DSR500 and would like to be able to use the telephoto and macro lens I own.

I don't know the exact wording for the answer. I forget if B4 actually was established for 1/2 or 2/3 inch, I think 2/3.

The mount has the same diameter and shape but as you know the depth is different for the different sized lenses and I don't want to be incorrect at this late date.

I do know that there are some adapters made by others that are intended to allow other sized lenses to be used. This is a design intention.
