Has anyone recorded on the Panasonic DVX while using the AC adapter? Have you noticed any problems? I will be recording a 5-hour conference and was considering using the AC adapter, instead of batteries, so that I would not have to turn off camera for battery changes. Someone I work with told me that it was not a good idea to use the AC adapter because the current fluctuations of AC power will harm the camera and can affect the quality of the recording. My question is whether anyone has had this experience. Also, isn't the purpose of the AC adapter to convert AC power into DC? Doesn't that eliminate the possibility of current fluctuations harming the camera? I would appreciate any insight on this matter. Thanks for your help!!

Its no problem at all. You are right about the DC conversion. If you want to be safe, use one of those small surge protectors.

Yeah, I've used the AC adapter for hours and hours, no problems whatsoever...

I third this.

On our last short we ran dry of juice and plugged in to the wall; no issues whatsoever.
