I have the opportunity to purchase an HV10 in excellent condition with a wide angle fisheye and some extras for $300. my question is, is this a good buy? i want to use it for some small stuff, nothing really crazy. are there any known issues like capture or formats to worry about? thanks for the replies

Hi Sam. Nothing to worry about at all, seems like a very good price, if its in ok condition. I recently sold my HV10 for £230. The HV10 is a great little cam that will give you superb results. Shoots to tape in standard 1440 x 1080i HDV so no problems capturing or editing.
