I have just been reviewing some footage I shot with the 16x manual lens and some of it seems just out of focus to me.

I wear bifocals and remove them for shooting. It appears that the diopter adjustment in the XL2 eyepiece is just short of what I need to focus properly and that may be the reason for the problems I am having. Is there any way to change the range of adjustment?

I supposed this could also be a back focus problem. Given the eyepiece adjustment issue, I wonder if I could set the back focus properly in anycase?

Keep your glasses on? For backfocus adjustment you should
follow the 16x manual on this matter.

No guarantee that you will be successful but you could try taking the camera to your optician and asking him to cut a blank that would slip in under the eyepiece rubber with the same power as your eyeglasses.

Peter,
I also wear bifocals and in some situations I think its difficult to focus through the eyecup.
Lifting up the eyecup looking direct into the viewfinder screendisplay helps me alot!
