How does the Gen1 compare to the Gen 2 Sennheiser wireless ? Many of the folk I know had a strong preference for Audio Technica in the $500 to $600 price range but that was comparing it to the generation 1 wireless. I like my current Sennheiser stuff and prefer to stick to a brand I Know.

Would it be worth the upgrade??

Thanks

The G2 is the first wireless set-up I've owned, so I have nothing to compare it to. It works fine and sounds good, although I might want to get a better mic down the road. I also bought the additional plug for using a wired mic as wireless, and use it quite a bit.

Thanks for the reply Bruce.

The reason I'm cuious is because I'm in the process of purchasing a second system. I like the set that I currently have (series 100 Eng) and I often run across some really nice deals on the gen 1 systems, but if the upgrade to the Gen 2 is a significant improvment, then I will certainly go that route.

I've searched the forum carefully before posting this question, and could not seem to find any such answers. Perhaps it is not quite technical enough this forum.

I'm rather new here and maybe in time I can grow to the level of some of you all. Are there any other forums for the up and coming
that someone can direct me too for simple questions ??

Thanks All

Personally, the plug-in transmitter with the Sennheiser kit seals the deal for me. It adds so much versatility.
