I recently updated vlc player and now when i play the raw files from the bapv folder i get that annoying pop up saying that vlc player cannot recognise the format, i tick the "hide future errors" box but it still pops up when viewing the mp4's, the rewrapped mxf files are ok though, no pop up.
On the previous version of vlc player i had the same pop up so i adjusted something in the settings and the pop up stopped, but i can't find the setting again, does anyone know where the setting is ?

Thanks, Paul.

Yep, 1.0.1, installed yesterday.

1.0.1 Plays EX MP4 flawlessly for me. Since it's not reliant on external codecs I can't imagine a conflict.

Crazy thought. Do both of you have Quicktime 7.6.4 on your Windows systems?

I'm 7.6.4 and on an Intel Mac, Leopard.
I've sent a crash report in, who knows.

I'm 7.6.4 and OS 10.6.1 on Intel Mac and no problems.

I think the problem is VLC tries to open the files with similar names thinking that they are subtitle files. Since the files are not subtitles and they're a not recognized format the VLC shows that message.

I think you can fix it unchecking "auto-detect subtitle files"

Good luck!!!

BTW VLC 1.0.2 just came out so check with that as well. Maybe they found the bug issue or simply changed the default behavior.
