My Z1 and I are heading down to Washington DC to shoot a panel discussion that will eventually be shown on the web. I have the camera set for DV Sp with the 4:3 ratio, but I am wondering if I am making the best use of the Z1 with these settings. Thoughts anybody?

P.S. I have to keep video file sizes small for web viewing.

I would shoot HDV and downcovert later. Use as much resolution as you can, the end product "should" look better.

You still want to shoot at wide, and convert later. Further, if you are shooting mostly for the web, definitely use picture profiles that soften the contrasts. they'll encode much, much better.

DSEagle-Do you have a recommendation for a particular picture profile that will soften contrasts for optimum encoding for web?
