Hi - I am trying to install the 6.01 update for Premier in the hope of curing a stuttering problem when I play the timeline, but each time I try to run it it gives me the error:

'The file c:\Program Files\Adobe\Premiere 6.0\preminfo.dll' could not be updated.' and then the patch cancels.

Does anyone have any ideas on why this is happening. SOme work arounds would be most appreciated!

Would getting a copy of the .dll file from someone who has already done the upgrade help - if so, is there anyone out there who wants to send me one!

Try to see if this file is read-only (has read-only attribute) in it's
file properties.. if so, remove it... Make sure you don't have
premiere running or just ran it.

Does anyone have the updated (6.01) preminfo.dll (3.63Mb) file that they could email me?
