Lowes Hardware has a quick start emergency ..battery for starting ...$30.00 it has an 12 volt cig connection could be a cheap power supply? has anybody tried such ? Thanks

Jack Smith February 23rd, 2005, 11:15 PM I don't know about that specific one.You would have to check it out.I have used an automotive pack as a power pack.It was quite a bit more money.I think around $100.I used it for back up.But as Rob said you need to already have a 12v converter.Also depends on the current draw you put on it and make sure the pack is rated to handle more (double for safety headroom). Many of those are gel cells and I found they didn't last long It's good to be innovative but cover all the bases |
