I need a little help on this one, I've checked out a lot of the stock footage sites looking for a sunrise to sunset in the desert. All the ones I did find I can't afford the buy it now prices (NO BUDGET). So my question is how can I do time lapse myself?

I'm shooting with a GL2 and I'm not really sure how to do time lapse.

Any help Please.
Thanks,
Tom

Shoot one frame every 10 seconds. or so. Or, better yet, lock off the camera and roll tape for an hour. Then capture the whole tape and ramp it up 5000% or more.

I know that the VX1000 has a time lapse option, but my canon doesn't And since the camera can't do single frames, rolling tape for an hour seems the best bet. Need more, switch tapes, but try NOT TO MOVE the camera one iota.
