Afternoon, All!

I have a particular problem that might rear itself in my work. I shot some digital footage where an occasional lens flare reared its ugly head. I missed it in the viewer... Its now captured and in the editor...

The question is... Can you eliminate this in post without cutting around it? I have a lot to cut to, however, you know that 'frame or two' that speaks volumes. I'm collecting my options...

Here is what I am using or have access to in post: I will be editing using Premiere 6 and/or with conjuction with Avid Xpress DV 3.0. Also, After Effects. I prefer Premiere because I am better equipt (knowledge) to handle challenges.

Please help... Its really an ugly destracting stamp...

Thanks!

Derrick

I kinda think you are stuck.

You could try and fix each frame with photoshop but I think that even that will be difficult and will certainly take time.

When I've had a client insist on the removal of ghost images or flare I've had to do it frame by frame in Photoshop. Very, very time consuming and the client was billed accordingly.

A royal pain...

Thanks for the input... I am settling on the fact that I'll need to cut around it. The behavior in the piece is very particular. Zoom in and drop a mask if necessary. Its on the lower edge of the screen.

Thanks for the input. I will try the Photoshop wipe. Because if I need to do it.

Thanks again!

Cheers!

I noticed the date that this post appeared. Has the been any recent developments to assist with problem? Or is using Photoshop still the only viable solution.

Your input and feedback is much appreciated.
