I just bought the XL2 and when installing my battery I noticed the model number as XL2a. I was wondering if there were changes to the XL2 with the "a" designation?

Pete Bauer February 12th, 2005, 08:21 PM No, I think the "A" stands for the NTSC version sold in the "Americas" rather than the PAL version: I had my XL2 camera within a couple days of the initial US release, and it is an "XL2a." Canon have used a similar nomenclature on the GL2. We'll still be very interested to hear about the Film Grain button situation though. And congrats, you have a wonderful camera! Brent Ray February 12th, 2005, 08:27 PM Hey, now that you mention it..... so do I! Funny I never noticed that before. |
