I've got a project to produce a video that is destined for a 22-Square-Meter LED screen.

Has anyone ever worked on something like this before?

I'd like to know what looks good as far as cuts and colors and effects. I'd also like to know what do avoid.

I assume it is not possible to do a test run? I can imagine that one
screen may produce colors a lot different than other screens for
example...

Nope. No possibility to test the screen beforehand.

I was told that if it looks good on the monitor, it'll look good on the screen. DVD quality will do.

I was not reassured.

It sounds like you are worried less about editing and more about the whole projection issue. I started a thread on this here (http://www.dvinfo.net/conf/showthread.php?s=&threadid=38267) that may be of interest.

Actually, I'm worried about split frame effects, editing style and colors.

What's more effective on these screens?

one thing you should get right first is the actual size of the screen in video term,4x3 or 16x9 or... your editing setup should be that of the screen. don't work with small text or graphic such logo. led resolution is not that great but not a problem with brightness and contrast.

Thanks, Ed.

That's the kind of advice I'm looking for.

It's a 4X3 ratio.
