View Full Version : What's involved in the Doumentary?

I am in talks with a community organization to produce a doumentary and I have some questions hopefully someone can help.

I plan on making a :30 to :45 minute doc. on this org. it's all community operated and participation in the doc is entirely voluntary so I will provide a sign up sheet. I only plan on doing this to enhance my resume'(no monetary gain, not for profit) and also document a 30 year+ community project.

What are some precautions I should be aware of?

Should I apply for a grant prior to shooting? if so where's a good place to start?

What could I be held liable for? I am not a L.L.C. nor am I insured.
and if so how can I protect myself?

If there is any other knowledge to share that would be great!

Thanks,

Mick

Welcome aboard DVInfo.net Mick!

Insurance is something you will probably need. I'd say the best
would be to get an media lawyer/attorney (forgot which it is) to
help you through such questions and make sure you are correctly
covered etc.
