Hello,

I am looking for some good 5.1 audio monitors, for my edit suite. I have a budget of about £500.

So far the only 2 systems that I can find, that look like they might do the job are:

The M-audio Studiophile LX4 Surround System. For the 5.1 kit its about £300

The Samson Resolv Sub/Satelite System. For the 5.1 kit its about £500.

Is it worth spending the £200 extra on the Samsons?

or is there anything else I could consider.

Thanks,

Ed

I'm not in the least a fan of the Samsons, they are pretty wimpy from my exposure to them. The M-Audio system is a good budget system. the only other budget system I've seen that's worth a darn is the Blue Sky system.
Both are decent entry level systems, and acceptable for working in small rooms. We use the M-Audios on our smaller VASST tours, they've held up well, and still sound great.

Thansk Spot!

I was heading towards the M-audio's. I think i'll put an order in for 1 set and also an M-audio Delta 1010LT audio card...

Thanks,
