Ed Liew January 18th, 2005, 11:22 AM one of the manfrotto hexagon quick release, maybe. not sure of the model. ed Tony Hall January 18th, 2005, 11:55 AM I looked at those, but they're not designed for camcorders. They don't have the little nub to help you mount your camera straight. I'm sure the hexigonal would work if you were careful, but I'd like a top mounting camcorder quick release like I think some of the sachtler heads have. Ed Liew January 18th, 2005, 12:17 PM tony, i have here the manfrotto hexagon adaptor. it has one hole with thread on it meant to be use to straighten the camera. you just need to get a screw of correct size to use it. if i'm not mistaken, there is another quick release by manfrotto but its rectangle in sharpe. smaller than the hexagon one. ed Tony Hall January 18th, 2005, 12:32 PM Hmm... I may have to try that. It would make it easier to use my Steadicam JR without loosing my balance. Tony Hall January 18th, 2005, 01:00 PM Ok, I figured out what to get. First you get the Bogen hexagonal quick release adapter set. Then you buy the Bogen universal adapter plate for hexagonal heads: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=productlist&A=details&Q=&sku=325231&is=REG This is a perfect plate for mounting to a camcorder and you can do it without loosing your balance on a steadicam. |
