Does anyone know of a tape data base program for the PC?
I want to have a searchable data base for the 53 mini DV tapes I have .
Apple has one kind of one for the Mac @ http://www.aquafadas.com/

But i could not find one for PC.
Any suggestions?

There are heaps of these programs, I've seen them everywhere.
What did you search on in Google? I haven't used any of these
so I can't remember specific names.

It seems most are targetted towards DVD:

However, most seem good enough to use with tape as well,

I had a very good and simple program made specifically for mini dv tapes. It would catalogue and I believe search as well it was a great way to make labels. Now thw rough part. I can't find it and do not remember the name. I will continue my search and if found place the information here.

I've also looked at CatDV (www.squarebox.co.uk/catdv/) which seems quite full-feature. I tried it on my older computer about a year ago and it was painfully slowwww. Very well could have been because of my computer. I've tried several times to load the new version on my new computer but it claims the trial is "expired" (I'm sure I must have copied a cookie or something from the old box that triggers it into thinking I've already tested it.

Another one that looks promising is TepX (http://www.imagineproducts.com/TEPX.htm). I just can't bring myself to spend that much for a production development tool in a single person production environment.

You can also doodle up some of this yourself with program like
Excel etc. Ofcourse less features, but most people already have it.

Sorry to reawaken this thread after so long. The above link no longer works and I have searched in vain for an alternative source.
