I think there would be copyright issues with posting the full text of the article without permission. A link is always OK though...

The 'blurb' is in Film & Video Magazine's Jan. 2005 issue, page 4 under the
"Short Takes | Headlines"

Quote:
*******
"Pertierra claims the Andromeda can capture 12-bit RGB color info in 30 or 24 frame progressive scan mode on a standard Panasonic AG-DVX100a. The
native capture size is 773x495, but Pertierra claims to have increased the
frame size to 1546x990. . .

A separate record switch on the interface box sends the non-color-corrected
camera output via USB 2.0 to a laptop or desktop's hard drive in Reel Stream's
proprietary format. Reel Stream's software can then convert the raw image data
to uncompressed frames or a QT codec, from DVCPRO HD to standard DV . . .

A full public beta of the system probably won't be available until NAB 2005 . . ."

They have a couple of stills of an outdoor scene that when captured in DV
is (very) contrast "challenged", but in 12bit RGB mode you can see so much
more color saturation and far smoother contrast. WOW!
