I think they sell the XL2 for $4600 (correct me if I'm wrong guys), plus you have the comfort of knowhing you are dealing with an extremely reputable place. Most "extras" that are included with Ebay store auctions are crap. Really crap. Lenses are often the worst. You get what you pay for. If you post the link to the auction I'll take a look at it, but I'd almost garuantee you are better off from one of our sponsors. Bill Hamell December 31st, 2004, 07:18 PM $4299.95 US with the 20x and free shipping as of today. Just bought mine there. :-) Mr. Bill David Griffey January 1st, 2005, 01:33 AM This is the ebay page http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=20330&item=3863291086&rd=1 if this does not work this is what they have listed Items Included with the Canon XL2: Items Included with The PRO PKG: XL2 Camcorder Body Zoom Lens 20x zoom XL 5.4-108mm L IS Color Viewfinder Lithium Battery (for Auto-Date) WL-D4000 Wireless Controller Two R03/AAA Batteries (for Wireless Controller) Lens Cap Lens Dust Cap Lens Hood Lens Soft Case Camcorder Dust Cap CA-920 Compact Power Adapter and Adapter Holder AC Cable DC-920 DC Coupler BP-930 Battery Pack (with Terminal Cover) SS-1000 Shoulder Strap STV-150 Stereo Video Cable S-150 S-Video Cable Microphone XL2 and Lens Instruction manuals Titanium .45x Wide Angle Lens - 72mm Titanium 2X Telephoto Lens - 72mm 3 Piece HIGH Resolution Filter Kit - 72MM 5 MiniDV Tapes 60" Remote Video Tripod Heavy Duty Aluminum Hard Case w/Dividers Professional 3 Pc. Lens Cleaning Kit The company is DSN lThanks Cory Moorehead January 1st, 2005, 10:13 AM Hahaha...that ebay page is funny.. List of complete and utter GARBAGE that you would get : -Titanium .45x Wide Angle Lens - 72mm -Titanium 2X Telephoto Lens - 72mm -3 Piece HIGH Resolution Filter Kit - 72MM -60" Remote Video Tripod Unless the lenses say Century Optics or Schneider Optics they shouldnt be infront of your camera. And those oness in those type of auctions are 'Digital Optics'...also know as CRAP. The 'High Res Filters'...are crap too. And there is no way you should trust your 4000+ piece of equiptment on no flimsy tripod like that. Save and get a good pair of Bogen sticks and the 501 head. Dylan Couper January 1st, 2005, 01:49 PM David, just in case you missed the point in Cory's post above.... :) You are better off without that low quality junk. Get your camera from B&H, save the extra money and put it towards a real tripod and lenses. You will be much happier in the long run. That remots vieo tripod, by the way, is mean for small 1lb 1 chip cameras. Dave Perry January 1st, 2005, 03:03 PM I buy a lot of stuff on eBay and never buy from the eBay store such as the ones listed in this discussion. I personally would feel safer buying big ticket items from an individual on eBay rather than the eBay stores. Dylan Couper January 1st, 2005, 03:18 PM The one benefit of Ebay stores over individual sellers, is that percentage wise, there is a much lower chance of being ripped off by a store than an individual. If I wanted to scam someone, I could set up an individual account "real" enough to lure in buyers. However, I couldn't easily fake an Ebay "store" with 1000+ feedback. The best and safest route is to go with a reputable, non Ebay seller, like our forum sponsors. Check 'em out, you won't be dissapointed. http://www.dvinfo.net/sponsors/index.php Rob Lohman January 3rd, 2005, 04:13 AM Just to add: our sponsors are hand picked by Chris for being the best in the business. They have good prices and excellent service. You'll also help support DVInfo.net who (as you have noticed) does not have annoying banner ads and things like that. Thank you for your consideration. |
