So I took the plunge and spent some big bucks.
The package just arrived. The shipping box is in fine condition.
I opened it to find a 1 inch diameter puncture on the side of the FX1 box. Who knows what caused that puncture but based on the good condition of the exterior shipping container, it was obviously packed that way.
I did not open it the FX1 box. What would you do, take the risk and open it to find a part inside possibly damaged or would you just return it and request one that is not punctured be shipped? Even if a part is not physically damaged, the puncture looks as if the box could have been tossed around or suffer some other sort of abuse, and with the sensitive electronics inside, who knows what could be damaged.
I hope I would not be required to pay return shipping if I take the latter option.
I just don't like that after spending so much money to receive a package in that condition or am I worrying too much?
