Hey guys, hope you all had a good holiday.
The time has come for a "real" tripod. This $30 sony one for some reason just isnt cutting it ;)
I was looking at this Sachtler. The only heads I like better are O'connor...but there is a bit of a price diff between the two :P
http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=NavBar&A=getItemDetail&Q=&sku=256422&is=REG&si=feat#goto_itemInfo
It seems cool, but the max weight of the tripod is 7.9 lbs. It mentions it supports the VX, GL1, DV300U etc but I am wondering if it will support the FX1.
I have been searching these forums as well as the web and havent found a simple answer of how much the FX1 weighs.
I would rather be safe then sorry (i.e, I will probably not buy the tripod if the camera weighs 7.5 lbs). I guess we should keep in mind additional accesories that will add weight (XLR's, mattebox, telephoto etc)
Any help would be much appreciated, thanks =]
(edit: stupid laptop non ergonomic keyboard...cant wait to get home)
