Is one of you working with a Fish-Eye Lence or maybe lenceadapter on his XL2. I am doing a couple of musicvideos for german Rap-Musicians and need it urgently.
Greetings from Germany

Century Optics makes one. It's some $400 I believe. I want it, but not the $400 kind of wanting it. :D

I read that there's a slight problem with the Century Optics fisheye adapter in that the glass of it actually touches the glass on the lens to which it is mounting (might only be true of the XL2's 20x lens).
Can anyone confirm or deny this?
Has it been addressed by Century yet?
Cheers!

A friend of mine, Kevin Maistros, still uses his .3x century optics bayonette lense-end from the XL1s on the new stock lense and it works fine without touching glass.
Hope that helps.

Sorry but you've read that wrong. It's not the fisheye adapter for one thing.
The full story is right here (http://www.dvinfo.net/canonxl2/tips.php), including Century's response. Hope that brings you up to date!

I can not find a good dealer here in Germany to buy the fish-eye lence. Maybe I have to order it in the USA. Do you know a good and not so expensive dealer in your country?
Thanks for your help
Happy new Year

Hi Chris. Do you know anyone who is using the 0.7X adaptor with good results? The only reports on this I have seen (from Marty on this forum) mentioned a serious problem of going out-of-focus when zooming. It'd be great to find out whether this is just a faulty unit or it's inherent in the design.

I haven't seen anyone else on these boards with the camera,
lens and adaptor. So....
