Hi there good people!
I have a yamaha 01v digital mixer with the adat exp card and i am considering selling this to get me a digidesign 003 factory mixer instead.
I know this may seem weird but i want your oppinions before i do it.
First. The reason im concidering changing.
I want to go from cubase sx to pro tools as my sequencer because i want to be able to support audio import from both avid and final cut directly as most of my audioprojects is for movies and tv programs.
Also i feel the need for the automated faders to work with a quicker workflow.
At my work we only use pro tools and i want to train more at home for this.
But the question is, Will the digi 003 be the answer to my needs of a more efficient workbench for audio for motion picture?
Will it work as a standalone mixer in my studio as the 01v has been doing for some time?
