I think everyone knows, I bought one of these off ebay a short while ago. I can't seem to make it mound on the XL2?

It has the same interlock, and it seems to fit, but I can't turn the adapter ring to lock it on.

To give a better description....

It says around the lens front: Value series 1.6X Teleconverter C44824
Around the bottom it says: Canon XL1

The ring turns freely, but it just doesn't turn when I try and mount it on the camera.

Am I doing something wrong?
