Hello
http://www.canon-europe.com/For_Home/Product_Finder/Camcorders/Digital/XL2/index.asp?ComponentID=207214&SourcePageID=26346
The Canon Europe website anounces:
"In sync Both Rec Run and Free Run SMPTE time code is supported. 2 built-in phantom powered XLR jacks and a BNC jack for monitor output is provided. An IEEE1394 connection allows direct hard disk recording.
Hopefully you can switch an 2,5" Firewire harddisk like the :
http://www.lacie.com/de/products/product.htm?pid=10558
to it.
For me direct hard disk recording means recording directly to an IEEE1394 Harddisk without using an laptop.
Whats your opinion?
Greetings from cold and snowy germany
Thomas
