Hi folks,
I'm in pre-production for my first feature. My first short film was moderately successful, so I figured it was time to learn more by making bigger mistakes!
As it's low-budget (ie. I'm funding it), I'll be writing to camera companies, tape manufacturers and equipment hire places to ask for financial help.
Anyone out there had any joy with this? Anyone received a bunch of free tapes? Given free light hire? Given a free loan of a camera (I'm contemplating 2 camera set-ups to speed up the shooting process - especially for action sequences)?
Any tips on how to get FREE stuff off them? We could offer 3 secs on screen in credits, this sort of thing... a company like Sony or JVC aren't gonna be interested in deferred payment on a low-budget comedy horror!
Cheers, Doug.
