what will i need to capture from hdr-fx1 into premiere pro 1.5?

is my only option software from cineform? are there others? isn't their a free .m2t codec file outhere?

The current crop of NLE's do not support capturing in HDV yet
(some do not even support editing it as well). So yes, your only
option at this point in time is the cineform codec (but I believe
even that isn't out at this specific point, should be out soon).
