Very interesting. A brand new DVCAM camcorder that uses EXMOR CMOS chips. I'd imagine that the low light on this thing would be pretty astounding!

No it's not. This is the Z5 with the HDV capability disabled. It downconverts between chips and tape, so doesn't have the PD170's low light performance by any means. Yawn.

Maybe I'm missing the big picture here. Someone care to explain why they'd release this camera now?
