According to reliable sources at Panasonic, it will discontinue the AG-DVC200 camcorder this January.
Don't know why this excellent camcorder is being dropped or if a new product will be introduced. If you recall, Panasonic dropped the DVC80 with 1/3" CCDs earlier this year and replaced it with the DVC30, a 1/4" chip camcorder. And several months ago, the DVC60 (a shoulder-mounted DVC30 with additional features) was introduced.
If you want to buy one of the best 1/2" CCD full-size DV camcorders available, the DVC200, please act quickly before they're all gone.
