I finally recieved my XL2 today from the camerashop here in Perth, WA and I was very impressed.

I recently purchased a Sennheiser Wireless G2 Mic and on my XL1s I have managed to connect it to the camera via the MA-200. For the XL2 I am going to need a MA-300. I was wondering what experience people have had in using the MA-300 and connecting a wireless mic to it?

I want know is the sound from the wireless mic reciever transmitted through the hotshoe into the camera via XLR cable port?

Yes. Audio from an XLR mic plugged into the MA300 travels through the hotshoe terminal contacts on the XL2.
