The PDF says on page 4:
High performance down conversion.

So does this refer to the ability to output/down convert the HDV footage on the fly to standard DV for editing in a regular editing program via firewire?

Looks like it was copied from the Canadian SonyStyle site:
www.sonystyle.ca
There are more pictures there as well!

I have been wondering about this as well. That would really be the best of both worlds if you could shoot in HDV for future use, but send DV-25 over firewire to edit for the time being. The specs at sonystyle.ca sort of imply this as well:

i.LINK DV Convert (Menu)
i.LINK™ (DV IN/OUT)/(HDV IN/OUT)

Does anyone know if this is possible, and if so would you lose some quality by converting the recorded HDV as opposed to shooting in DV mode?
