I have 25 DVD need to burn and I have a LiteOn 4x burner. Just wondering if I burn all 25 DVD-R in a row, would it damage the burner? How many DVD I should burn at a time that won't kill the burner easily?

Dan Euritt October 13th, 2004, 11:02 AM 25 dvd's is nothing, don't worry about it... my sony burner appears to be giving up the ghost after well over 600 burned discs. i guess that it would help if you had it mounted in a fan-cooled environment, which is what i have. Alex Chan October 13th, 2004, 11:17 AM Thanks Dan, so if I burn all 25 DVD-R at once, at the same time, it won't affect the performance of the burner right? I have a fan inside the computer but will the burner get too hot? What was the highest number of DVD you burn at one time before? George Ellis October 13th, 2004, 06:13 PM I am burning 10 in a row right now on my Pioneer. ;) It should not be an issue. Mike Rehmus October 13th, 2004, 09:41 PM I've burned 35 in a row on my Sony. Costco now carries the 8X non-double layer external Sony for $149 so I bought another. With 2 each on separate computers, I can burn all day with no problems. George Ellis October 14th, 2004, 08:27 AM Mike, you can get a Pioneer 108 or NEC 3500a (without apps) for under $80 now. That is 16X and DL 4X! |
