Hey everyone,
I'm looking into getting a new shotgun mic for second XL1s w/ MA200 in the 300-600 price range. The first camera has a Azden SGM-1 which is good, but i'd like a richer, fuller sound. I've followed alot of the postings on the ME66/AT837/AT4073a mics and i would like to get an AT4073a.
But here's the kicker, i do mostly mobile shooting, and i want this mic for on camera use so i can't really use a powered mixer or phantom power box since both are chained by their power cords.
Is there a way to tap the 7.2V system without getting a beachtek adapter? I'm Rather attached to the MA200 since i do alot of shoulder shooting and it balances the center of gravity issue of XL1s when i load it with the CH-190 and 2 large batteries.
I'm even open to home made solutions....
Any ideas/suggestions?
