Les Dit September 13th, 2004, 10:42 PM The servo focus on the JVC is not suitable for hitting focus marks. The ring is only loosely coupled ( electronically ) to the actual lens elements. Maybe this prevents companies from selling these gadgets, since they are minimally useful? -Les Murad Toor September 14th, 2004, 12:38 AM Les, I think Dwight and Veronica are asking whether there are any Varizoom type wired remotes available. Dwight Flynn September 14th, 2004, 08:22 AM Sorry for the late reply, but I am looking for a Varizoom type controller, if one exists. Thanks Veronica Carrera September 14th, 2004, 12:08 PM -- Originally posted by Murad Toor : Les, I think Dwight and Veronica are asking whether there are any Varizoom type wired remotes available. exactly! :) Ken Hodson September 14th, 2004, 08:41 PM I've seen one advertised befor. It converted the HD10 into a TV station type setup. Was about $5000 and I do not recall the company. Try searching through the HD1/10 forum archive's for "zoom control" or some such. Dwight Flynn September 15th, 2004, 11:50 AM Ken, that price tag breaks the bank. I will have to keep looking for a more reasonably priced solution (if one exists). Thanks Ken Hodson September 15th, 2004, 12:36 PM I assume you are looking for the simpler throttle style zoom controler. There are quite a few that use LANC but I haven't found one that uses JVC's Jlip yet. Ken Hodson September 16th, 2004, 02:23 AM Ya know what? I never actually looked for it on the HD10. Is it on there guys? It should be around the Firewire plug. Cams at the studio so I'm not sure. |
