Is there currently a zoom/focus controller on the market that works with the hd10u? If so what is it/they?

Thanks

The servo focus on the JVC is not suitable for hitting focus marks. The ring is only loosely coupled ( electronically ) to the actual lens elements. Maybe this prevents companies from selling these gadgets, since they are minimally useful?

Les, I think Dwight and Veronica are asking whether there are any Varizoom type wired remotes available.

Sorry for the late reply, but I am looking for a Varizoom type controller, if one exists.

Thanks

I've seen one advertised befor. It converted the HD10 into a TV station type setup. Was about $5000 and I do not recall the company. Try searching through the HD1/10 forum archive's for "zoom control" or some such.

Ken, that price tag breaks the bank. I will have to keep looking for a more reasonably priced solution (if one exists).

Thanks

I assume you are looking for the simpler throttle style zoom controler. There are quite a few that use LANC but I haven't found one that uses JVC's Jlip yet.

Thanks for your reply, Ken.

What is JVC's Jlip? I can't seem to find it on my camera!

Thanks!

Ya know what? I never actually looked for it on the HD10. Is it on there guys? It should be around the Firewire plug. Cams at the studio so I'm not sure.
