Great for indie filmmakers looking for distribution through NetFlix (it's been done).

Hey cool, I have Netflix. I don't have a Tivo though.

If Netflix takes in Indie films it'll give them a huge library. I think Indie filmmakers are heading towards some unbelieveable times...Hollywood is scared to death right now. I've talked with some friends out there, and they say it's really screwed up. The "system" is collapsing on every front, so they are dumping more and more money into "sure things". Yet, you can't predict a sure thing forever....

The funny thing is that analysts are very negative on both those companies. Just recently I read an article on TiVo (in Barrons I think) that questioned whether they could survive...

NetFlix is doing VERY well; take a look at what Blockbuster is having to do, because of NF's business model.
