Hey Guys... And Gals, I'm "old school", I still use the VX2000. My question for Y'all (did you know plural for Y'all is All Y'all) is how the heck do you perform a white balance on the VX2000? I follow the instructions, but the white balance screeen just sits there. Any help would be appreciated. Is there some wierd trick I'm missing???

If you have the manual balance icon showing, pressing the scroll-wheel inwards should start the process. The icon will blink until the operation is complete.

I understan that. But How do you know when the process is over? My VX2000's just keep blinking.

It should stop blinking, if not, you are still moving the camera or something is wrong with the camera.
And VX2000 isn't exactly old school, VX1000, now that's old school for MiniDv cameras.

If it just keeps blinking, then it cannot balance for some reason.
Either the lighting color temperature is way out of bounds or there is too little or too much light (not certain about too much).
The manual (page 50) states that you should go back to Automatic mode if it continues to blink.
