I'm trying to create a BR image in encore but wondering what is the maximum bit rate I should set for the standard 1440*1080 footage?

Min Rate?

Target Rate?

Max Rate?

An Adobe tech I spoke to actually advises to first use the presets for BR and see how they work for you. Then and only then should you deviate from the suggested stream rate.

Well I tried the standard preset and it renders for about 8 hours then the CPU just goes to idle.

2.1ghz Quad core 8gb Ram machine so I thought the rates might be too high?

When I checked the Encore presets I found them to be lower than I expected (~15 Mbps), so I reconfigured everything to match or exceed standard HDV bit rates (e.g. 25 Mbps). Rendering shouldn't take 8 hours on your machine, so there must be a problem somewhere.

Is 25Mbps the max rate of the Sony Z1? If so I will set the max rate to that and the target rate 20Mbps. Encore is the latest update but doesnt max out the CPU at times, seems to have periods of full use then 50% ish.
