Ok, i am doing my first DVD from sratch and it is due at 8 am tommorrow (currently 8:30 pm) so here is the setup
I have shot and edited a 12 min movie with a sony DVD101 camera (i know it sucks, but it wasn't my choice) and edited it in vegas 5. I redered it as an mpeg-2 file. now for some questions and problems
For some reason some of the video that was shot was 720 x 480 while other bits are 704x480. I would like an explination but right now what i really need is that on some of the video there are black lines on the side and it looks really bad. Any way to fix this.
Second, and the big one. I am using encore to author it. i have almost no experience with this program, and have encountered a poblrm when i tried to burn my first DVD
1. the sound is like it has sped up. I am assuming this is because the sound was 44.1 instead of 48, and i will fix that if someone can vaerify it. But, the video also looks like it has sped up to to keep track with the audio. This problem only happens when i watch it on a tv. On my computer everything apears to be fine
2. Also only while viewing it on the tv. The picture has all the sides cut off of it, and not just a small bit, but probably 5-10% on each side. is this because of a problem with aspect ratio or what.
My tv has an lg dvd vcr hooked up to it and has never had problems before when whching my favorite movies.
If anyone can provide some quick help i would really appreciate it
