Any ideas how I can make the rapid-echo wispy voice sound effect like the little girl in the TV in Poltergeist? I'll be using Peak DV...if I can figure it out.

One way to get the effect is:

Record the audio. Reverse it. Add echo. Then unreverse it. When you play it back, the echo will precede the actual sound.

Just talk into a fan, add some echo and there ya go! Worked for me!

Try using a reverse reverb with a full mix effect and a long decay and add a noisgate to it.
