I saw Jeff mention this program (Portfolio) in the iPhoto thread, but rather than derail that thread...took my question to a new one.

At any rate :-)...

I am in search of a robust/professional digital photo management app that can:

1. Catalog photos
2. Assign "keywords" to photos for easy searching
3. Easily get turn photos into html (java, etc. okay) "portfolios

It sounds like Portfolio and NetPublish are the perfect solution. Any thoughts/recommendations/opinions?

Extensis Portfolio can fulfill all of your requirements. It's not cheap but it's quite robust, being on version 7 currently. I believe you can download a trial version from Extensis.com.
