Al, you might want to email Panasonic Philippines to see if they will carry it. If not, since the Philippines is NTSC you may need to get the Japanese or the NA versions. Also check the 'cam buying contacts' at the top this forum. Frank or Allan may be able to give you an idea on the current pricing and availability.

Email from Pana Philippines:

"Yes, we will be selling Panasonic Digital Video Camera model PV-GS400. This will be out in the market this coming September with a Suggested Retail Price of P 79,800.

We have an on-going FREE TRIPOD & BAG PROMO on all our current available models ( including our new PV-GS400) until Sept. 30, 2004."

I think at the current Philippine Peso-US Dollar conversion, that should be around $1,418.00.
