Does anyone know of a manufacturer who makes a shorter tripod mounting plate (for my ex3) than the size of the Sony VCT-U14? I though Vinten made one but, I checked and could not find one.

Canon TA 100 quick release plate is same as the sony one but only 8 inches long.

Hi all

Just for the record, Vinten do not make camera plates. We make the plate that attaches to the underside of the Camera Plate, allowing it to attach to the pan and tilt head, which we call the camera slide plate/camera mounting plate. This slide plate also attaches to the underside of those Cameras that do not use a supplied Camera Plate.
