Is there a QUALITY reason we should use the color temperature altering feature on this camera (the + - one withing the menu)?

I mean, I know, it's faster than any other methods. But is it better than just white balancing with gels if we want to have a warmer/cooler temperature?

I'm not interersted in in-camera vs. post answers, I'm just curious if we should stick to using gels for this types of effects (so, an in-camera vs in-camera discussion).

Anybody has any experience using this feature?

Thanks guys!
Bogdan

i once used to it "warm up" a shot to make it look likea hot day.. gels couldnt do it for me for some reason, but it worked out fine by settin the cam..
on top of that, master ped settings will give a more defined contrast when u mess with it.. the lower u go , the more ur blacks are crushed.

theres heaps of different config combos possible..

In my experiments with it, I found it affected the tones of the blacks as well (blacks took on a warm or cool tone). That was at lower light level interiors. White balancing through gels would not affect the blacks.
