I just watched the trailer to the new Michael Mann movie starrin, Tom cruise and JAmie Foxx....and it looks like video to me.. check out the trailers and stuff....

It is video (HDTV). Cameras: Panavision, Sony HDW-F900 CineAlta, Thomson VIPER FilmStream.

Only the night scenes and some exteriors are video. The rest is 35mm film. Mann was going for a certain look in those scenes.

it looks like a good movie.....i dunno about it being split up into both Video and 35mm....i guess well have to wait and see.....i'm to lazy to look for production info on this film..ahaha..if anyone wants to do some homework..and post up some links from the production etc....feel free.. :D

Doesn't the entire story take place over one night? ...that would mean a lot of video, right?

I wrote it wrong. I meant the night exteriors and the taxi cab scene. Everything else was film.
