Apologies if this has been asked many times before...
I have just received my VX2100 and with it - Sony Premium 60 tapes.
Previously with the Panasonic DV953 I used Panasonic DVM60EJ which were faultless.
I heard somewhere that it's best to stick with branded tapes for the VX, hence my purchase of the Premium tape.
Question 1: is Sony Premium tape a wise buy? (I will not re-record any tape, by the way..)
Q2: could I have simply stayed with the Panasonic tape?
Q3: I have recorded only 5 minutes on my first Sony Premium tape, is there any danger now switching to the Panasonic tape, or should I stay with the Sony tape..?
Q4: I have heard mention of 'dry' & 'wet' lube tapes; would someone like to explain why either might be preferable..?
Q5: Is there a tape brand that I should steer clear of at all costs?
Many thanks.
Regards,
Ross.
