View Full Version : 3rd Party Capture Software?

I'm using PPro 7.0 and having problems batch capturing, the following problems:

-Often clips are skipped because a frame of timecode is missing
-You have to leave the batch window open and active during the entire capture - deselect it (or try to work in another program) and the batch quits reporting "Cancelled by user"
-This basically needlessly ties up your edit box for hours of automated capture.

I've tried scenalizer but don't like it. I log all my clips and sort them into bins based on timecode in PPro - that is, TIMECODE, not necessarily when I hit the pause/record button, so the scene detection in scenalizer doesn't help.

I really need a simple 3rd party caputre app that will ignore missing timecode, run without the window highlighted, and import the .csv batch capture list exported from PPro. This is such a painfully simple request, but I can't find anything that does this.

Help???

The best software I've found for capturing is ScenalyzerLive. It cost $39 and you can download a trial version for free from www.scenalyzer.com

I'll second the vote for Scenealyzer Live. It's a very robust program and can even run in the background while you're doing other things. It can do such tricks as detect overlapping timecode. Great program.

I use Scenalyzer and am pretty happy with it.

Does SCLive have some abillity to import capture lists in any format from other programs? My real problem with what I've seen in SCLive is that I can't hand it an existing log and have it go fetch.

Am I missing something in the program?
