Hey, does anyone know if Raynox makes an completely zoomable anamorphic lens, especially for the HD product line (I checked and can't find any info that they do, but I have to at least ask). Also, both century and raynox makes a wide angle completely zoomable lens, does anyone know which is better (i.e. century's DS-65CV-58 versus raynox's HD7000Pro).

Thanks

Is this in regards to the JVC HD10 or HD1?

Thanks,

Thanks, Dwight, just making sure, so that way you're in the right place. Sometimes, a surfer will post in here for something regarding a different camera.

Thanks,

Nope, if I am here, you can assume it has something to do with my HD10U (it may, as a secondary matter, have similar applications for other cams).

And back to the topic :)
We had decided not to pick-up the Cavison wide angle we we got the gear last week. They seemed a little flakey if they should be selling it as a HD10 lens. So we are in the same boat.
What is the best for the least?

I have bought the hd-7000pro from raynox, which is designed for HD, and is less than half of the price of the century. I am testing it this weekend. To improve the quality a bit I also bought a cavision lens hood ($70) which fits on the 82mm thread of the raynox wide angle lens (and a french flag for an extra $30 which brought the total to a little over $100). Both the raynox and the century are 58mm and are fully zoomable, so the question remains which is better. Is the century better at all, especially at more than twice the price.

I wonder if our Cavision 3x3 matte box will work with the hd-7000pro from raynox?
