Why was the PV-GS400 taken off the Pana US site?

I sent the Panasonic customer support a request for more information about the GS400 a week ago. I got a reply that said that they didn't know what I was talking about. So I sent them the link to the GS400 on the Pana US site store, that was posted here. I got a reply that they would check with the Pana store. If it is my fault, sorry, everybody. Bob Bitler June 25th, 2004, 09:10 AM Robert, It is not your fault at all. They obsviously are very inept at what they post (they had wrong spec for LCD..2.5 should be 3.5) or they're playing games. Compared to the Japanese site for the GS400, the US site is PITIFUL.! Oliver Hu June 25th, 2004, 09:56 AM I have a bad feeling that Pana US is busy working on strip-down version of PV-GS400 from the brilliant NV-GS400 spec , since Pana's tradition includes ripping off North American customers ... Robert Kirkpatrick June 25th, 2004, 10:30 AM I was mistaken. I didn't do anything wrong. :) The pana store still has it listed with the wrong specs: http://shop.panasonic.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/vModelList?categoryId=16979&catalogId=11002&storeId=11351&langId=-1 Frank Granovski June 25th, 2004, 03:29 PM Pana USA and JVC USA have a history of "stripping." and posting incorrect specs. For 3 months the JVC site claimed that the GR-DV2000 had a 1/3" CCD. If Pana USA does get a stripped version of the GS400, they will once again have dismal sales. |
